Christening Candle
Christians only, please?
I love my boyfriend very much, I am a Christian and was baptized as a child, but after his parents divorce rate to quit the whole thing. He has some trends however, when going to see her mother's side of the family, go to church and light candles and pray. Be that it is ultimately their decision, but how I can help you to accept Jesus and be saved? The idea of waking up in the sky without it saddens me greatly.
There are only two things you can do: 1.) DO NOT preach to him, and 2.) Live your own Christian life and hope and pray that while you are living yours, you will want to share with you. You're right: it is your decision, let him do it. First, is the work of the Holy Spirit, not yours, but if he has already agreed otherwise, then you can not get it to accept anything else. Nobody does anything without wanting to, but even then the person must first understand that need. On the last part: I would say do not worry. Contrary to what the Church has been teaching you (for the time they have been going there), the Bible does NOT say that only by accepting Jesus Christ a person can hope to get to heaven. In fact: Many people who have said they have accepted Jesus may well be surprised to wake up in hell after a life expecting to see someone who really accepted him - even though someone can not be said. To wit: I agree with almost everything you said Noname - especially its first sentence very (to which I would add that most Christians are also a part of this generation). But Noname not even pay much attention to their own appointment of the Bible. Only reinforces Matthew 7:21 Matthew 21:31 - that what you say means nothing compared to what you do. But even isolate Matthew 7:21, Jesus says clearly that only he who does the will of God will be saved. He never says anything about saying it. Now please tell me where in the Bible never says that God's will is - or ever was - to accept Jesus Christ.
